Drawing Week

Drawing Brief
Work to be presented on 10 sheets of A3 paper.
Deadline Monday 20th February.

1. Draw something observed, could be figures in a room, could be an image on a screen, with the paper out of sight
(underneath a drawing board/table).
2. Self portrait in proportional geometry only.
3. Now use that on a separate sheet to draw a tonal study of your face using 3 point lighting, modeling the form.
4. Quarter the paper, and draw a ‘hybrid’ portrait taking elements or features from four different people.
5. Draw 10 silhouettes of figures in very different poses.
6. Using subject matter either taken from ‘real’ life or from photographs, films, animation, or even your imagination, draw an interior clearly using one-point perspective.
7. Using subject matter either taken from ‘real’ life or from photographs, films, animation, or even your imagination, draw an exterior clearly using two point perspective.
8. Use three point perspective in a scene of your choosing to either show a birds eye/fly by view or a worms-eye/view.
9. Use TONE and TEXTURE to demonstrate aerial perspective.
10. Use plans elevations, diagrams OR storyboard frames to plan a prospective photo/film/animation scene
